Each week students will spend three hours either at the UBC farm collecting data at the farmscape or plot level or will be in the laboratory analyzing soil, and insect samples.
Over the course of the semester students will:
- Learn to collect some basic agroecological data using a variety of techniques
- Enter and share data
- Develop a set of hypotheses
- Analyze data to test hypotheses
- Present findings with a poster and a set of extension messages
- Author a report that summarizes the project and its findings in a scientific format
