Module IV Summary

National SFM strategies are drawn based not only on forestry information, but also on developments in the nine related fields described in the first and second lectures of this Module. International dialogues on these topics must be reflected in National Forest Plans and Strategies.

Two important topics that have been recently elevated to the international arenas, namely the Landscape approach to natural resources management and Sustainable Development Goals, will have bearings on how forests are managed from global to national and even local levels.
