Hi Carol,

No, nobody moderates before. We just have an agreement before and then if something that seems inappropriate comes up we talk to the individual blogger. One important thing that we wanted to achieve with the blog squad was to capture both the positive and negative experiences at UBC. It has been a great experiment as not only have the positive experiences overwhelmed the negative ones, but staff and students have been able to respond to negative reactions and improve the situation.

I came across the Blog Squad and love the concept; of course would like to institute it here; just out of curiosity, does someone on staff have to approve content before it is published?

Of course I love the Blog Squad.
I would love to have our UFV International students do something similar, of course on a much smaller scale. Does someone on staff have to approve your posts before they go up, or is there a general agreement beforehand that certain material will not be posted?

Well, the saturday is the tours of the sororities, which is part one of recruitment, from 10 to 3. Sunday is nothing that I know of, though. Which day were you thinking of?

I’m not sure when Sorority recruitment events are happening, but I’m planning on a weekend brunch get-together for us, most likely the first weekend after school starts.

Hey Jayne!

Haha… so Vogue it is! I was in the UBC Bookstore the other day and I swear to God I had Vogue in one hand and some history textbook about Thomas Jefferson in the other, looking at the similar price tags and trying to figure out which one to buy.

LMAO and here i thought I found a fellow raised-by-wolves-and-the-circus student, how very disappointing!
