A scholarly approach to teaching involves using research-based, critically considered approaches, as well as communicating methods, results, and ideas to the broader teaching and learning community (at UBC and beyond) for peer review. One of the purposes of this website, including my blog, is to help me to organize my thinking in such a way that it facilitates such scholarly communication about teaching. As you’ll see below, I have begun presenting my work at conferences.
