My research topic is biomineralization. The major goal is establishing an in vitro biomimetic system for evaluation of bone cells. Through biomineralization, calcium phosphate coating could be formed on varies substrates. This coating could be used as drug delivery system. The coating, drugs, and bone cell interaction could be investigated based on this system. As a multidisciplinary project, solution chemistry, materials microstructure analysis, cell biology and molecular biology are involved in this research.
