Same as the Chinese student, I hate the Cantonese New Year greeting, and I take every opportunity to explain/tell people that is not how we say New Year greetings in the Mainland or in Mandarin.

I am so impressed with the Peking Opera performances in Univ. of Hawaii. I can not believe the dying art of our generation is alive and well in other corners of the world.

I have forgotten most of the Chinese folklores, folk tales, or the ghost stories. I need to go through a re-education myself.

I am learning about the library discipline and the librarian profession in China from your contributing activities. The linked articles are very informative. If I were 10 years younger, I would try to get back into the Academic librarianship again.

Keep up the great work! Thank y ou.

The same for our EMAS organization. There is so much demand in China, and there is so much to offer from the Canadian team. It takes a visionary leader, some skillful organizers, and very many volunteer professionals to make things happen.

I hope your vision of having a multi-specialties/multi-disciplined librarians team going on an information exchange/teaching/mentoring trip to China will be realized. I will join you when it is set in motion.

It proves that truly great people are the most humble. I know a few of them in my life!

In the long run, what we give is more important than what we receive in life, and you have given the Chinese library community and the profession so much. Be proud of your achievements!
