This is a radically-updated version of a manual we wrote for a 2006 workshop. Sorry for the inertia in getting it updated. I would like to be able to start a new section on the wiki called Cases in searching: grey literature. Do you think that would be a useful way to share our experiences in searching for this material? ~Dean

great work! Did you know that 700 000 records of the unique European database on grey literature SIGLE migrated to an open access environment called OpenSIGLE http://opensigle.inist.fr ? It contains references to grey documents issued from 1980 to 2005 in paper format.
It also provides access to the full text papers and presentations of the international conference series GL (GL2 to GL10 are uploaded), including contributions from Marcus Banks, NLM, University of Calgary, etc.

Your manual looks really handy, thanks for sharing it with us.
We often use the Canadian Electronic Library from Gibson Library Connections for Grey Literature and it is great – especially their Canadian Health Research Collection.
I don’t think I saw it mentioned in your manual so I thought I would suggest it.
