NLM’s MedlinePlus Goes All Widgety

What is a widget? Widgets are small applications that allow you to pull some code onto your own website to display content from another website or service.

MedlinePlus (in a new sleek design) has introduced widgets and word clouds. You can embed an array of new widgets in blogs, personalized homepages, and other sites. Once you embed the widget, MedlinePlus takes care of the technical maintenance and updates content automatically. The search cloud widget displays frequently searched terms on MedlinePlus. This widget is usually updated each weekday, and it is a smaller version of the full-sized MedlinePlus search cloud.
