A new WordPress theme has been developed at UBC. This theme is called PulsePress and it enables liveblogging for students enrolled in those blogs. For more information and tutorials on how to get started, roll over the PulsePress tab in the top menu. As always, feel free to send questions to Dr. Blog by commenting on a page or sending an email from the Ask Dr. Blog section.
This term will soon be over! Please let me know if you need any help in completing your blog. Thanks.

Would you like to add a link to your sidebar which displays the most recent posts from someone else’s blog? Well, what you need to do is add an RSS feed to your blog as follows:
Every time you access your blog you will be able to view the most recent posts for the blog you have subscribed to. As usual, please contact Dr. Blog if you have any questions!
Your blog provides you with the opportunity to publish your thoughts and ideas so that others can read them. It can also give your readers a chance to comment on what you have written in your posts. When you are ready, you will want to know how the whole “commenting” process works. Please see the related tutorial in Interacting with Others in the menu above (or click here).
It is important to select the appropriate privacy settings for your blog so that others can view it. Please see the brief tutorial on Privacy Settings under 1st Steps (or click here to go directly there.)
Well here we are in Week 2. Congratulations on getting your blogs and adding your URLs to the Student Blogroll in your respective section of COMM 101. There are over 500 blogs created and accessible across the 4 sections – well done!
You will soon be asked to create your first blog post for the course. A new tutorial has just been added under 1st Steps in the menu above. If you want a direct link, just click here. Please let me know if you need any help with this. Have a great week!
