2008

Environmental Education Caucus is working in support of the Canadian Society for the Study of Education (CSSE) sustainability initiative during the National Conference on Education
May 31st – June 3rd 2008.

Wednesday, February 21st, 2007: “Transgressing Genres: Research and Creative Scholarly Practices in Environmental Cultural Studies,” a public lecture with Rishma Dunlop, Professor of English and Education, York University and Poet-in-Residence at CCFI, UBC Faculty of Education.

Saturday, February 24th, 2007: “Multigenre Discursive Practices in Environmental Education Research,” an interactive writing workshop with Rishma Dunlop.

2006

Wednesday, January 18, 2006: Learning City presentation by Janet Moore & Rob Van Wynsberghe. The Learning City is an inter-institutional project of SFU, UBC, ECIAD, and BCIT that intends to reorient higher education toward sustainability by creating classrooms that engage with real world problems and events.

Tuesday, March 28, 2006: Dr. Diane Srivastava, of the Biodiversity Research Centre, Dr. Charles Menzies, of the faculty of Anthropology and Sociology, and Dr. Kurt Grimm, of the faculty of Earth and Ocean Sciences, will present on EE oriented programs currently underway in their respective faculties, and on ways in which Faculty of Education members might participate in such programs, or collaboratively develop new programs.
