* assimilation: fitting new information into pre-existing schema
* accommodation: if applying old schema doesn’t work with new information, a new schema is formed.
* adaption: when we alter our schema to reflect the world we live in (as accurately as we can)
* equilibrium: the balance humans strive for, if schema doesn’t fit reality, the resulting tension inspires more assimilation and accommodation until we can progress to higher levels of thought and learning.
* schema: cognitive structures that represent a certain aspect of the world.
