Academic Coursework and Certifications

I currently hold a Bachelor of Education Degree (BEd), with a specialization in Elementary Education, from the University of Victoria, BC, Canada. I am a certified Professional Teacher with the British Columbia College of Teachers, and have been certified since April 2008.

During my Bachelor of Education Degree I took courses on a range of topics from diverse disciplines including:

  • Indigenous Studies
  • Child and Youth Care
  • Counselling
  • Canadian History

I also completed three teaching practicums during my degree. They include:

  • Grade 2 classroom at Saanichton Elementary School (Victoria, BC)
  • Grade 4/5 split classroom, Grade 6 English, Grade 7 French, at Bloom Public School (New Delhi, India)
  • Grade 6/7 split classroom at Colquitz Middle School (Victoria, BC)

I am currently completing my Master of Arts Degree in Society, Culture, and Politics in Education, from the Department of Educational Studies, at the Univeristy of British Columbia, BC, Canada.
