Shift times: Monday, Tuesday and alternating Wednesday’s (0800 – 1600) at Fraser Valley Centre
Alternating Wednesday’s, Thursday and Friday (0800 – 1600) at Abbotsford Centre
In accordance with the Mission, Vision and Values, and strategic directions of Provincial Health Services Authority patient safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone at PHSA, and as such, the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.
Under the direction of the BCCA Provincial Library Leader (PPL), the Reference Librarian will work cooperatively with other Library staff at any of the BCCA Cancer centres, to provide reference and research consultation services, literature searches, bibliographic instruction and information literacy training, technical support, and web maintenance support. Trains volunteers to assist with consumer health collections. Assists with collection development, document delivery and circulation
Education, Training and Experience
Master’s degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited Library School, one (1) years’ experience in a health-related library and/or a subject background in a health-related field or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
