Crofton House School has an immediate opening for a permanent, part-time Archivist. The school Archivist is responsible for providing a full range of archival services and for providing research support to faculty and staff of the whole school.

Responsibilities:· Acquiring, cataloguing and making available those records from the Crofton House community which require permanent preservation· Providing reference services internally and externally· Support all organization through historical research with primary and secondary sources· Curating historically themed displays throughout the school· Archives Donor relations, including alumnae

Qualifications:· A Master of Archival Studies or similar degree along with several years of relevant work experience· In-depth, current, and practical knowledge of archival and records management theory and best practice· Strong working knowledge of information technologies and practices applicable to an archival context—including digitization, database design and development, and digital preservation strategies· Experience in the application of copyright legislation and the Personal Information Protection Act· Ability to engage with alumnae and donors in order to foster relationships, promote the Archives mission, and develop educational opportunities which utilize archival resources· Strong research, analytic, and problem-solving skills· Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication, and project and time management skills· Demonstrated ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and cooperatively as part of a team· Familiarity with operations and functions within an educational environment· Familiarity with ICA-AtoM cataloguing software an asset· Demonstrated commitment to the provision of high quality records and archives services
