The Youth Sexual Health Team is accepting applications for a unique Canada Summer Jobs research position. This work opportunity is ideal for Master’s or PhD students training in the health or social sciences who are interested in conducting qualitative research. The successful applicant will assist team members in conducting a systematic review, in-depth qualitative interviews, and coding interview data for two studies that examine a variety of BC-based interventions designed to reduce young men’s sexual- and drug-related HIV/STI risk while also identifying novel strategies for adapting and scaling up other interventions.
This position will provide eligible UBC students with full-time (30 hours/week) research-related work experience over the summer semester at UBC’s Point Grey campus. The salary is $24.73/hour.
This is a Canada Summer Jobs funded position so applicants must meet the following criteria to be eligible for this position:
- Be between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment;
- Be registered as a full-time student during the preceding academic year;
- Intend to return to school on a full-time basis during the next academic year; and
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.
