2009 Annual UBC Law Alumni Association Fall Lunch

 On Friday October 30, 2009, well over 250 judges, lawyers, students and members of the public gathered at the Vancouver Convention Centre to hear Mr. Justice Thomas Cromwell of the Supreme Court of Canada at the Association’s annual fall luncheon.

Justice Cromwell presented a humorous and edifying talk entitled “Lessons You Don’t Need to Learn the Hard Way”, in which he canvassed four best practices that, from the perspective of the bench, lawyers would be well advised to learn and adopt. Justice Cromwell proved himself a masterful and engaging storyteller.
