It is possible to purchase a library copy/print card using a credit card. To do so, the patron must go to a library branch which accepts fines payments – Koerner, Irving K. Barber Learning Centre, Education, Robson Square, Okanagan or all Life Sciences Libraries.

These instructions for printing and saving information on a diskette can be used for the following Networked CD-ROMs and QL Access Station located on the main floor of the Law Library, in the journal area:

• British Columbia legislative CD-ROMs
• British Columbia Rules of Court and Related Enactments
• Canada Statute Service
• Canadian Case Digests (the Abridgment CCD)
• Canadian Encyclopedic Digest (CED)
• Current Legal Information (CLI)
• Tax Partner CD-ROMs

You can select any number of records by tagging them. Once tagged you can view, print or save the selected records.

TO TAG A RECORD

1. Click anywhere in the document you wish to print.
2. From the Edit menu, select Tag Record. A red line appears to the left of the record.
3. Repeat the above steps for all records you wish to print.

TO VIEW TAGGED RECORDS IN:
• Canada Statute Service
• Canadian Case Digests (the Abridgment CCD)
• Canadian Encyclopedic Digest (CED)
• all Tax Partner CD-ROMs

1. From the Edit menu, select Keep Tags.
2. Only tagged records will appear on your screen.
3. To undo this command, from the Edit menu, select Clear Tag or Clear All Tags.

TO VIEW TAGGED RECORDS IN:
• Current Legal Information
• British Columbia Rules of Court and Related Enactments
• all British Columbia legislative CD-ROMs

1. From the View menu, select Tagged Records.

TO PRINT SELECTED RECORDS

1. From the File menu, select Print, the Print Document box opens.
2. Click on Tagged Records if it is not already selected, then click OK.
3. THE ENTIRE DATABASE WILL PRINT IF YOU SELECT VIEW
4. Once you have finished printing, from the Edit menu, select Clear Tag or Clear All Tags.

TO SAVE TEXT TO A DISC FROM:
• Canada Statute Service

• Canadian Encyclopedic Digest (CED)

Use the Save As option.
1. From the File menu, select Save As, the Save As box opens. In the Save As box:

3. Click on the drop down arrow for List Files of Type: select Wordperfect 5.x
4. Name your file in the File Name box and remember to add .(dot)doc
5. Click OK.
6. From the Edit menu, select Clear Tag or Clear All Tags.

1. From the File menu, select Export, the Export box opens. In the Export box:
2. Click on the drop down menu beside Save In: select 31/2 Floppy (A:)
3. Click on the drop down arrow beside Save as Type: select Wordperfect 5.x.
4. In the box Export Range: use Tagged Record.
5. Name your file in the File Name box and remember to add .(dot) doc.
6. Click Export.
7. From the Edit menu, select Clear Tag or Clear All Tags.
