The Asian Library, in collaboration with the Department of Asian Studies, will celebrate the Lunar New Year at the Asian Centre. Celebrate the Year of the Horse at UBC!

Programs include cultural showcase booths, an Asian book sale, the “Beautiful China” photo exhibition, a lecture  and a treasure hunt. All events are free and open to the public.

  • Lots of new, used, and hard-to-find books and some journals.
  • Most are in Asian languages (mainly in Chinese, Japanese and Korean and Indic languages) and some in English.
  • Prices range from $.10 to $5.
  • Many subject areas, including history, language, literature, religion, philosophy and fine arts.

Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, 5th Edition (or as the cool kids call it, DSM -V), is unavailable via PsychiatryOnline. The subscription has expired and there are problems setting up a renewal.
