UPDATE – log-in to Usernames & Passwords working as expected now.

Certain online resources require additional log-in information – like a Username & Password that is shared by everyone. This info is usually hidden and requires Users to log into a secondary level.

For example, access to the BC Building Code (click here). You need to log in to get the Username & Password to access the Code… but it isn’t working.

A ticket has been submitted, and we hope that access to these types of resources (that have a hidden page with additional log-in info) can be fixed soon.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Sorry to report that a number of Cambridge eBooks are linking to the wrong title.

A fix is in the works.

If this happens to you, go to the Cambridge Core eBooks site and do a search from there.

UPDATE! All seems to be well. Report any problems to our Help Form.

Summon has launched a new interface. However, it hasn’t gone well. Links from results are broken, leading to an error message. Hopefully, a fix is coming soon. Stay Tuned!

oxford logoDue to a change in how URLs are formatted (http VS https), some Oxford Journals are popping up error messages on and off campus.

Hopefully, this will be resolved soon.

In the meanwhile, report problems to us via our Help Form. A work around (on campus only) is to take the problem URL in the error message, for example:

http://ezproxy.library.ubc.ca/login?url=https://jiplp.oxfordjournals.org/

…and use just this part of it:

https://jiplp.oxfordjournals.org/

BUT this only works on campus.

The eDuke Ebook linking issue has been fixed.  Please continue to submit tickets to the Eresource & Access unit if you encounter any issues:

Some eDuke ebooks are linking to DOI error messages because they are not yet published on the eDuke site.  We are in contact with Duke University Press to fix the problem and will soon update our eDuke holdings to reflect only those ebooks that are accessible.
