BestCase Training Sessions
(Part of the Law – Commercial Databases Training Sessions)

BestCase is a web-based research service that contains reports such as Canadian Criminal Cases, Dominion Law Reports, Labour Arbitration Cases, as well as a collection of unreported decisions dating back to 1977. It also includes Canada Law Book’s case summary services, such as the All-Canada Weekly Summaries and the Weekly Criminal Bulletin, as well as a note-up citator feature

This session is useful for criminal, labour/employment and civil litigation practice areas.

NOTE: Two 30 minute long distance call phone cards will be raffled off after each training session. Only those present in the room will get a chance to win.

Acts of the Parliament of Canada

UBC Library now has access to Session Laws Library. This contains collection contains the session laws of all 50 U.S. States (as well as the Acts of the Parliament of Canada from 1926 1883-2007 (more added!) and Australia) from approximately 1995 to present. Future releases in HeinOnline will include new session laws as published as well as expanded coverage of historical session laws prior to 1995.

This contains access to the Selden Society Annual Series, Selden Society Supplementary Series and the Centenary Guide to the Publications of the Selden Society published in 1987.
