Position and current roles

In 2012, Martin Guhn became Assistant Professor at the Human Early Learning Partnership (HELP), an interdisciplinary research consortium that studies developmental trajectories from birth through adolescence. HELP is a research unit in the School of Population and Public Health at the University of British Columbia.

 

In May 2011, Martin Guhn became the national research lead for the Forum for Early Child Development Monitoring, a research consortium funded by the philanthropic Lawson Foundation.

 

Research areas

Martin Guhn, Ph.D., conducts research on child development from a population health perspective.

A primary focus of his research is to examine social determinants of well-being and health outcomes of children and youth.

 

Education and background

Martin received his Ph.D. in Human Development at UBC, and holds masters degrees in psychology (Ernst-Moritz-Arndt Universität Greifswald, Germany) and music psychology (University of Sheffield, England), and a degree in music.
