I’ve posted up this week’s rough version of the lecture notes:

as you’ll see, it’s barely changed from the reading guide for this week. It will essentially be commentary on the reading.
As we move towards the end of the Rose and through the semester, we’ll be narrowing down the lectures in this way, close to the texts we’re working on.
I’ll also be adding a document with the Querelle de la Rose materials that we’ve seen last week (and will be seeing this), which may be useful to some of you for your midterm and final papers.
Midterm topics (passages for commentary) will be posted up at the end of the week, so as to give you a good month to prepare them before the due date (1 March). For more on that midterm paper, see:
