Healthy Minds

Healthy Minds: Healthy Minds at UBC is much more than a blog. Our goal is to provide student-to-student strategies for success, providing answers to these questions: How can I stay healthy as a UBC student? What really works? How does my mental and physical health affect my ability to be a good student? We get our message and strategies to the student population with an online presence on the blog, Facebook, and Twitter, as well as other outreach programs.

MHN Representative: Jayne (Healthy Minds Project Assistant) healthyminds@students.ubc.ca

Mental Health Awareness ClubMental Health Awareness Club: We are a student run group that aims to raise awareness on mental health through the organization of fundraising events, educational seminars, advocacy campaigns, and more. Through discussion and learning we hope to reduce the stigma and misunderstanding surrounding important topics in mental illness and mental health. Through the UBC mental health network we hope to attract people who are interested in volunteering to help run any of our many events, programs, or campaigns. Currently we are looking for people who may want to join in our 1-in-5 campaign.

MHN Representative: Victor (President) ubcmhac@gmail.com

Arts Undergraduate Society:The Arts Undergraduate Society (AUS) of the University of British Columbia represents 12000 Faculty of Arts students in which we provide student services and social events. We aim to enhance your undergraduate experience and provide opportunities for you to get involved in your Arts community. You can get involved in one of our many committees or run for a Council seat in the fall by-elections. The Academic Committee of the AUS consists of wellness coordinators who are in charge of increasing awareness and organizing events around physical/mental health.
