Professor,Fluvial Geomorphologist,Workhorse…

Marwan is a dedicated researcher who draws upon the love from and for his family for support.  Although you will usually find him with his nose in a book, in a journal, or to the grindstone, he spends as much time as possible with his family.  Outside of academia he enjoys playing with his three children but admits they sometimes drive him crazy.  However, he attributes many of his more interesting and uncommon research insights to moments of craziness they have inspired!

Marwan has lived in many places around the world providing him a broad and international view on many subjects.  Born in Nazareth, he unwittingly followed in the steps of another infamous character and ended up in Jerusalem.  Life and study  also found him in Glasgow, Scotland for a spell, and Vancouver, Canada where he now lives.  He attributes his  international vision on subjects regarding water access and disputes to his life of migration, and shares these international perspectives with his students and peers.  He accomplishes all this and more while remaining one of the top Jovial Geomorfoologists in his field.
