Hey fellow seminar peeps!
I’m sure you all know my name already, but I’ll introduce myself again – I’m Michaela! I’m super stoked to be part of such an amazing program and such an amazing seminar group as well!
A few facts about me to make this post more interesting:
- I’m from Edmonton but I spent the last two years living in Victoria.
- I took two gap years after high school (I’m probably the oldest person in our seminar)
- I enjoy reading 19th-century French literature (language nerd here)
- I plan to pursue speech pathology
I chose Arts One because I’m always up for a challenge – I’ve never shied away from taking the most involved courses possible (whether or not that’s been beneficial for me is yet to be discovered). I was also drawn in by the fact that we have such a small study community for the whole year. I didn’t want to be completely anonymous during university so I figured this environment would be a good place to ‘make my entrance,’ so to speak.
I’m looking forward to reading The Master and Margarita because I’ve heard it’s an excellent novel, and I’m also excited to read Freud and see not only how his ideas link to our theme but also my Psychology class!
