I realize that my mother would not be proud of me making a post about my own award. Yet, I decided to do it because AAPT is such a big part of my life – both personal and professional that I am very honoured by this award. As I work with future physics teachers I always want to support them as much as I was supported by friends and colleagues in Israel, in the US and in Canada. And the American Association of Physics Teachers (www.aapt.org ) has played a huge role in my own life as a physics teacher and as a physics education researcher. So I do feel proud and honoured by this award and I do hope my students – future physics teachers will also decide to join BCAPT and AAPT.
