Technology in Elementary and Secondary Classrooms
One of the projects I am working on now focuses on the way elementary teachers use technology in teaching science. We began the project with focusing on Teacher Education Program and how pre-service elementary teachers are engaged with educational technology during their formative teacher education experience. A student of mine and I are working on designing conceptual science questions that elementary teachers can incorporate in their teaching, for example with clickers. We will be testing them in our science methods classes during the Spring of 2011. In addition we are developing a survey for the instructors teaching elementary and secondary methods courses to find out how they incorporate technology in their teaching and how they view the future of technology in elementary and secondary classrooms.
