Academics

I have a handful of Excel spreadsheets on my computer dedicated to the sole purpose of university course planning. Call it a love of learning or just pure neuroticism, I simply must take the time to plan all my course for the next four years. This page is to keep track of courses I have take and will take.

Fall 2008 Semester One

COMM 292 – Management and Organizational Behaviour
COMM 299 – Business Communication
CPSC 111 – Introduction to Computation
ECON 101 – Principles of Microeconomics
HIST 237 – Major Themes in American History
MATH 104 – Calculus and Its Applications

Nothing particularly soul-crashingly difficult this semester. CompSci lectures were my favourite by far. OB, which doesn’t really have lectures, is also pretty high up there. A lot of people fail to find the point of this class but I absolutely love it. The classes are engaging and the concepts are applicable to both of my jobs. Business communication was the easiest with its one speech per week schedule, then again, it’s only worth one credit. I have a love hate relationship going on with American History, being fascinated with the content on one hand and sobbing over the ridiculous marks they dish out in Arts on the other. Math gave me false hopes earlier in the year and my passion for Econ came at rare, sporadic moments throughout the semester.

Spring 2008 Semester Two

COMM 293 – Financial Accounting
COMM 299 – Business Communication
CPSC 121 – Theories of Computation
ECON 102 – Principle of Macroeconomics
HIST 237 – Major Themes in American History

A fellow member of Parentheses-Abuse Anonymous would like to remind you that Calculus and It?s Applications should be Calculus and Its Applications (don’t feel too bad, as the apostrophe is the most frequently abused punctuation mark), and ECON 101 and 102 are Principle_s of Micro/Macroeconomics.
