Those of you who were present at our sale in 2013 at Sunnydale will probably remember eating this. This is a family recipe, and we have been making this for decades now. Quite frankly, this is the simplest recipe for grilled chicken that I have ever come across. And now its time to let the cat out of the bag. Here is my secret:
Spicy Grilled Chicken
Ingredients
- 1 Chicken of about 1.5kgs
- Soya Sauce ¼ cup
- Dried Chili 1tbs
- Tandoori Masaala 2Tbs
- Butter 50 grams
- A Pinch of salt
Instructions:
Making the marinade – just throw in all the spices in a bowl and that’s it! Pour the melted butter at the end
Cut the chicken into pieces, preferably 4 if you are serving a hungry bunch
Prick/Pierce/Fork etc. the chicken so that all the spices get into the chicken
Rub the marinade on the chicken and let it sit for an hour
Meanwhile, get your oven on preheat. If you think preheating is a waste of electricity like I do, skip it. I have never preheated my oven and my chicken always turns out just fine.
If you are cooking indoors, grill the chicken for about 40 minutes at 180 degrees, rubbing each sides of the chicken with the marinade after every ten minutes.
