Zotero Help Post

Post your questions (and answers) in the comments. A few of us were also talking about organizing some kind of Zotero party, so if you’re interested maybe we can set it up here.

I hope that someone can answer this and that I am no completely stupid, but I still can’t join groups…
Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?
I’d be up for a Zotero Party.
It’s probably too late at this point though…
amy: make sure you have made an account on zotero. Although you are able to view the groups and may have zotero installed, you don`t necessarily have an account. Their should be a link somewhere on the zotero page to make an account and once you`re signed in you can join groups.
If you do have an account make sure you`re signed in.
thanks Ben! that’s key advice. go to zotero.org, get an account, sign in, search for geog362, join the group, then open zotero on your computer (button on the bottom right of your screen), and hit sync (the green curving arrow), it will ask for your login information again, and THEN the class bibliography should show up for you. I recommend selecting all of it (or just the ones you used) and dragging it to “my library”. Be careful not to accidentally add things to the class library!
Thank you both for your help, but I have now joined the group but I do not have a green arrow to sync. Is there another way of doing it?
I also am logged in, is that the same as having an account?
Also where would this green arrow be if I were looking for it?
This is so frustrating!
Make sure you have the beta not the full version installed! That was the main problem for me, after that go into the tools tab and then click add-ons. Hit options and that is where you can access sync options. Then follow Sara’s directions for adding the library to your own library.
