Many companies think that the fact of having a Facebook page or a Twitter account is all they can do about be present in Social Media. They expect to gain awareness by publishing some posts once in a while, but there is not the only thing that they should do…There are some key points about being in Social Media that they have to take into account. According to some articles that I have read, is very important to : 

1- Have a clear strategy

It is important to know each time what are you doing and why. Therefore, you should have a clear objective, for example the number of posts that you will publish per day. You could arrive to this amount by analyzing the trends in each social account.

Tracking this data with the help of social media analytics allows you to utilize this consumer data to make improvements to your marketing strategy and brand.

3- Don’t forget the customer!

When a visitor posts on your Facebook, tweets at your Twitter account, or comments on your Instagram, you need to send them a response. Trust is lost if you don’t. And this loss of trust (due to your lack of communication) can turn these viewers away from you. They might even choose one of your more helpful competitors over you in the future.

4- Adapt to each Social network

You have to treat each network individually, tailoring your posts and strategy for their individual audiences. Adjusting your marketing efforts to the demographics of each site is the key to getting the most out of them.
