Delphine's e-Portfolio for ETEC 565A

I really enjoyed process and I discovered that my proposal was posted on the home page and that was scary!Anyway it was not as labor intensive as I thought it would be. I had delayed working on it because I thought I needed at least an hour without distractions inorder to do a good job. The Welcome page was created without incident.

 The only problem I had was the selection of the grade scale. After I selected Aggregate type the Grade menu did not automatically become available.  I tried a few times then clicked Save and Display. I was pleased with the presentation of the discussion question. I was really surprised that I was able to do so much so quickly. Even though I wrote with confidence that once I was able to start from the beginning I would complete the task, deeply worried about the time it would take. I realize now that I could have just attempted the activities and see if I could finish before trying to find a one hour block which is so difficult to come by in my busy life. I am just beginning to feel like I going make it!

I am Delphine Williams Young. I am from the beautiful island of Jamaica and pleased to be a part of the MET programme. So far the two courses I have completed have stimulated my appetite to begin the process of using web 2.0 tools in my teaching. I am a lecturer in the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures in English at Church Teachers’ College: Mandeville. Mandeville is in the interior of the island and is 2000 ft above sea level. As a result we enjoy a warm breezy climate almost all year. I hope that entries in my portfolio will be of a high standard and very pleasing to the eyes of visitors. Have a wonderful journey!
