The UPass Waiver form is now available on Vista: Home Page›Non-Academic Information›Parking & Trasportation
Please fill it out and return it via email directly to the Trek office: trans.plan@ubc.ca. The passes will be mailed to you at the end of September, after the tuition payment deadline and add/drop deadline for the program has passed.
Recently, the Office of the Vice-President External, Legal and Community Relations distributed the Community Engagement Discussion Paper to spark discussion about issues of importance for a University Community Engagement Strategy. We have invited students, staff, faculty and community partners to contribute to this discussion through online and email options. (www.communityengagement.ubc.ca)
We have also organized a series of Community Conversations to engage students, staff, faculty and partners around specific questions and topics embedded in the Discussion Paper. Could I ask you to share this message with colleagues, students and partners who might be interested in joining these dialogues?
The following sessions have been scheduled and are based on the Community Engagement Actions articulated in Place and Promise:
September 15 What are the unique qualities or issues partnering with private sector partners?
September 20 How should the University define “service” for the purposes of tenure and promotion?
September 22 How can the University facilitate engagement of students and faculty in public policy development?
September 27 How can UBC increase the use of learning, cultural and outdoor venues on UBC’s campuses and sites?
September 29 How do we engage staff in the community engagement priority?
October 4 What are the unique qualities or issues partnering with non-profit and volunteer organizations?
All sessions are scheduled at the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre in the Lillooet Room from 3:00 – 4:30 pm
Many thanks in advance. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
