Material available from Aug 24 Communications Workshop
If you attended the all-day workshop on Communications last Friday (Aug 24), and you would like a summary of some of the things we talked about, please send me an email. Leadership Coaching Stream – Google Calendar Update
The following items have been added to the Google Calendar:
1. Leadership Coaching Stream application with Sally – Students must send their application statements to Sally Maitlis by email no later than noon on Sept 3rd 2012.
2. Full-time MBA Self Assessments – Students must submit their self-assessments through i-peer by 5.00pm on Sept 7. All students must complete this survey. Please go to – ipeer.olt.ubc.ca ( without the “www”) and log in with your CWLs.
Syllabi Postings and Finance Update
We have created a zip file which contains all Integrated Foundation syllabi with the exception of the Finance Syllabus. This syllabus will be posted very soon. Please note that you will need to purchase the Finance Textbook: Corporate Finance, Second Canadian Edition and myFinance Lab but will not be using this duringthe Integrated Foundation.
The zip file can be found on Connect at: Integrated Foundation > Orientation > Integrated Foundation Syllabi.

UBCSecure Wireless Connection Issue ***Resolved***

As of 4:00pm this afternoon, UBC IT has applied a new code to resolve the UBCSecure connection problems.
UBC IT will continue to monitor the situation this evening and tomorrow morning as users around campus sign back on to the network.

UBCSecure Wireless Connection Issue

As of this morning, August 27th, 2012, users in the Henry Angus Building are reporting issues connecting to the UBCSecure Wireless Network. We are aware of the issue and are working with UBC IT to resolve the problem.
Users in the David Lam Building are currently not affected by the issue.

Information regarding student teams can now be found on Connect. Please select Integrated Foundation on the left menu and then click on Project 1 – Capsim. In here, you will find out which cohort you belong to, team #, Capsim Industry & Company and who your advisor will be.

We have now released the following information which can be found on the My Grades Tab in Connect:
- Cohort Allocation ( Blue/Gold)
- Integrated Foundation (IF) Codes
- Turnitin.com Class ID
- Turnitin.com enrollment password
- Capsim SIM registration number
- Capsim Company
- Capsim Industry
- Project 1 Teams
- Project 1 Advisor
At this point, we would like to ask that you…
1. Register for your turnitin.com accounts. Please refer to the “2012 MBA Core – Turnitin Registration Guide.pdf” found on Connect: (Integrated Foundation Section > How to…). If you are not already familiar with the turnitin.com system, we would advise that you attempt to submit a document one of the 2 practice drop boxes we have created on turnitin.com. We will be creating assignment drop boxes regularly.
*Please do not forget to enter your IF Codes in both the first and last name fields as specified on the instructions.
2.Register for Capsim. Please refer to the “2012 FT MBA IF Capsim Registration Instructions.PDF” which is also found on Connect at (Integrated Foundation Section > How to…). You have all been placed in teams of 4-5 members.
*Students must register and complete the Introductory Lesson prior to August 27th 2012.
3. Purchase your Integrated Foundation Package. In order to receive your hard copies on Sept 4th 2012, you will need to have this done by today – August 24th 2012 (3:30pm). Any request that come in after this time may take longer to print.

*Duplication Services is located on the 4th floor of the Henry Angus Building in Room 443. Please ask for the Integrated Foundation Package and specify whether or not you would like printed copy of the readings. Once you’ve purchased your Integrated Foundation Package, please send the virtual copy of your receipt to both IF Administrators (alexander.lin@sauder.ubc.ca and jenny.chan@sauder.ubc.ca) who will then send you your University Reader Access Code (xxx-xxx-xxx-xxx) so that you can download the online version of the binder. For those who pay by debit or cash, please bring your receipts to the MBA Office located on the 1st floor of the Henry Angus building in Room 137 and ask for either IF Administrators.
