Hello Class,

The Integrated Foundation (IF) section on Connect (www.connect.ubc.ca) has now been released. This can be found on the navigation bar to the left.

Here you will find the 2012 Full-time MBA Integrated Foundation Student Handbook, which is designed to answer questions commonly asked by students, as well as to serve as a guidebook for the nature and content of the IF.

As seen on the Google Calendar, the September 4^thsession will be held downtown at Robson Square (Theatre – C300). Please remember to bring your laptops on this day. You will also need to read the Loewen Case – (found in the Case section of IF binder) and the Loewen Case Memo – (found on the IF Connect section >Cases> Case – Loewen) in preparation for an in class discussion.

If you have not already subscribed to the 2012 Integrated Foundation daily emails, please do so by going to: http://feedburner.google.com/fb/a/mailverify?uri=2012IntegratedFoundationsAnnouncements&loc=en_US and enter your personal email address. All class announcements will be posted here rather than on the Facebook page during the Integrated Foundation Program.

Project teams and cohort (blue or gold) allocation information will be released very soon.

Lastly, please be sure to submit your requests for a hard copy of binder by August 24^th 2012 in order to receive your prints on September 4^th 2012. Note that these prints do not come with a ring binder, so we suggest that you purchase one at your earliest convenience (Size: 2 inch, D-ring will suffice as there will be approximately 450 pages – double sided).

1) Will I be able to access this on an ipad?

YES, YOU WILL BE ABLE TO ACCESS THE BINDER ON YOUR IPAD.  

2) Will I be able to print whatever pages I require later on? 

YES, YOU ARE GIVEN THE ALLOWANCE TO PRINT ANY GIVEN ARTICLE/CHAPTER READING TWICE. SOMETIMES PRINTERS DON’T ALWAYS WORK THE WAY WE WANT TO, SO IF YOU REQUIRE ADDITIONAL PRINTING TRIES, THIS CAN BE ARRANGED.

3) Are there any other restrictions on the online version? For eg: will I be able to highlight or underline parts of the content?

YOU WILL BE USING ADOBE DIGITAL EDITIONS TO ACCESS YOUR BINDER VIA COMPUTER. THIS PROGRAM ALLOWS YOU TO BOOKMARK, HIGHLIGHT AND MAKE NOTES FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.
