Student Loans

MBA students hoping to secure student loans must be registered for modules in both Term 1 and Term 2. In order to ensure that this process goes smoothly, all students will be registered for Context Integration (BA 507) in Term 2 by the MBA Office. We are in the process of doing this now. Context Integration is a mandatory component for the MBA Program, so all students will need to complete it.

If you have any questions please email: askmba@sauder.ubc.ca

Watch for Email regarding “COOL”

Greetings. I wanted to advise you of an important system-generated email arriving in your inbox. One of your key tools while at Sauder will be COOL – Career Options On-Line. This system powers your professional development journey – from booking appointments with your dedicated career advisor to signing-up for key professional development events, to posting your resume, to searching for and applying to internship and job opportunities.

We will give you more information later. For now, please save the email and when you have a few moments, please follow the instructions in order to set-up your account on COOL. We are looking forward to seeing you at Orientation!

Alcohol serving & consumption policy – UBC

Please be aware that UBC has a Serving & Consumption of Alcohol at University Events or on University Premises policy, which you can review here.

For those international students in our program please be advised that laws governing the serving and consumption of alcohol in BC and at UBC may be quite different from what you are used to in your home country/university, so we encourage you to review the UBC policy and make yourselves aware of the laws in BC as well.

This policy will be posted on your Connect site under the Policies tab.

2014 FT MBA Locker Allocation

Dear 1st year FT MBA student,

We are happy to advise that we are ready to assign lockers!

The MBA program has 82 half-sized lockers available for student use. Most are on the 1st floor, a few are on the 4th floor. As decided by the current MBAS Executive, these lockers will all be assigned to 1st year MBA students only; 2nd year students are not eligible.  However, as there are more students than lockers, selection will be made by lottery.

If you wish to go into the draw to have a locker, please click on the link below and enter your email address to access the sign-up form. Please enter your name and student number by 4:30pm on August 13th.

https://www.surveyfeedback.ca/surveys/wsb.dll/s/1g1cf9

Please note that you will only be able to sign in once to enter your details.

Students will need to supply their own lock.

Lockers will be assigned initially for September – December 2012 only. Once the new MBAS Executive is selected in December, we will ask for their feedback as to how they wish to assign lockers from January 2013 onwards.

Best regards,

Theresa (on behalf of your Academic Services team)
