Regarding summer internships and entrepreneurial projects, we have posted all the documentation on Connect > My MBA Career under the tab “Internships 2013”. As the summer experience is a for-credit component of the program, all students need to be aware of and take action on these documents.
While we shared this information at the Welcome Back in January, we wanted to reiterate some of the key details:
- Your summer internship/entrepreneurial project is worth 1.5 credits
- As an academic component, there is required documentation before, during and after the summer. Please review the documentation. Carly Boettcher is your go-to-person for collecting documents and fielding questions.
- Whether you are pursuing an internship or entrepreneurial project, you are required to have a faculty supervisor. Please review the documentation. Once you have secured your internship, or decided on an entrepreneurial project, you need to approach your Track Champion, who will assign you an appropriate faculty person and in the case of entrepreneurial projects, Paul Cubbon.
- The deadlines for when they are due are included in the Guidelines document posted. (The guidelines explains everyone’s responsibility in the process, from faculty to employer, to yourself.)
- If you are pursuing there is no action item until you have secured your internship.
As we need to account for everyone in the class, all of you will need to fill in one of two forms, the internship agreement form, or the entrepreneurial agreement form. You may also be asked by an internship employer to sign a NDA, or confidentiality agreement form and this is found in this folder too.
If you need any clarity about the forms, please set up a meeting with your career advisor. For those of you who have secured an internship, please reach out to your Track Champion, as they are responsible for assigning you to an appropriate faculty person. We look forward to helping you through the process.
