Sustainability & Corporate Social Responsibility Scholarship – Reminder

This is a reminder that the deadline for application for the Sustainability & Corporate Social Responsibility Scholarship is no later than 8:30 am, Wednesday, October 16th 2013

A scholarship of $10,000 has been established for a 2nd year student in the full-time MBA Graduating Class of 2014 at the Sauder School of Business.

 Eligibility Criteria:

  • Demonstrated interest and leadership in corporate social responsibility, business ethics and/or sustainability.
  • Good academic standing.

Application Procedure:

Submit the following two items:

  1. Cover letter (length 1 to 2 pages maximum) providing information on your leadership roles in corporate social responsibility, business ethics and/or sustainability (describing the initiative and innovation you demonstrated in this area) along with relevant community and/or extracurricular activities.
  2. Current resume or curriculum vitae

Applications may be submitted by one of the following three methods:

CFA Awareness Scholarships – Application Deadline August 16

As a CFA Program Partner the Sauder School of Business has an allocated number of Awareness Scholarships to award to current full-time and/or part-time MBA students who are planning to take the CFA Level I exam in December.

Application Process:

  1. If you would like to be considered for one of these awards, please email askmba@sauder.ubc.ca by no later than 3:00 pm, Friday, August 16, 2013 with the following information:
  • Full name
  • Student number
  • Which program you are attending
  • That you will be sitting the CFA Level I exam in December
  • That you would like to be considered for the CFA Awareness Scholarship

The MBA & MM Programs Office will then nominate the top academic students from this group for the awards.

 

 

 

David Mindell Award in Entrepreneurship – DEADLINE REMINDER

An Award of $10,000 has been established in the name of David Mindell for a student entering or currently enrolled in the full-time MBA program at the Sauder School of Business.

Eligibility Criteria:

Criteria for the award includes entrepreneurial achievement or potential, demonstrated leadership, initiative and innovativeness and academic achievement. Due consideration will be given to the financial need of the student selected.

Consideration is not restricted to only those students in the entrepreneurship specialization but rather is open to all full-time MBA students with strong track record/potential  in entrepreneurship and innovation.

Paul Stothart Memorial Scholarship in Mineral Economics

Each year, the Mining Association of Canada (MAC) will award $3,500 to a
recipient of the Paul Stothart Memorial Scholarship. Candidates must be enrolled
in a Canadian university studying either a Bachelor or Master of Economics, or a
Master of Business Administration (MBA), and must demonstrate an interest in
mineral economics.

ELIGIBILITY
Candidates must be enrolled full-time in their second, third or fourth year of a Bachelor of Economics degree or in their first or second year of a Master of Economics or MBA program. Applicants must also demonstrate an interest, supported by current or intended course work, in mineral economics or mining commerce.

Schulich Fellowship for Entrepreneurship

A $5,000 fellowship has been endowed by Seymour Schulich. The award is offered to a full-time student entering the MBA program.

The main criteria for the award are entrepreneurial achievement or potential, and overall academic performance. Abilities such as demonstrated leadership, initiative and innovativeness will receive particular consideration.

Deadline for application 8:30am, Monday, November 26 ,2012.

2012 BC EXPORT AWARDS ~ International Business Studies Award

The 2012 BC Export International Business Studies Award recognizes a post secondary student who has shown leadership and excelled in international studies while contributing to the BC export community.

The winner will be presented with a $3,000 scholarship for continuing his/her studies.
