Technical Issues with Connect

We are currently experiencing significant technical issues with the Connect Learning Management System. The response is a large coordinated effort which includes all available resources including senior members of UBC IT and the two key vendors involved, Blackboard and Oracle. We are focusing on both rapid service restoration during outages and longer-term stability.

Updated information will be posted on our bulletins site at http://bulletins.it.ubc.ca and we will provide email updates as soon as new information becomes available.

Wireless Network Service Interruption – May 17

In order to continue to provide IT service to the UBC community, UBC IT must perform maintenance on its services and systems during regular quarterly maintenance windows.

The next maintenance window is on Saturday, May 18th from 7 am to 5 pm. During these times, there may be connectivity issues to both the wired and wireless network services.

Sauder is most likely to be impacted by changes occurring between 7 am and 10 am. Over this time, disruption to the wired network in the Henry Angus and David Lam buildings is likely to be intermittent.

Please avoid planning work or events that depend on IT resources over this time.
If you have any concerns or questions, please contact the Sauder IT Service Desk.
