Class Ombuds Nominations – Please submit by 11.59 pm Thursday Sept 5 (Tomorrow)

Now that you’ve had the chance to get to know each other a bit better, we ask that you help us nominate one person from your cohort (Blue or Green) to be one of the two class Ombudspersons’.

What does an Ombud do? The main role of an Ombud is to act as a liaison between cohorts and the MBA Office & Faculty. He/she may be asked to assist in the gathering of student feedback and will be responsible for communicating any information or advise about policies and procedures to the class.  As an Ombud you would meet regularly with the MBA Programs office and share feedback from the class and co-collaborate with our office to come up with solutions that will enhance the overall program experience.

If elected, how long will  I represent the class as an Ombudsperson? The MBA Society is elected in the first week of October,  at which time the roles of the President, VP Academic & VP Student Development will resume all duties previously held by the Ombudspersons.

How do I submit my nomination? We would ask that you submit all your nomination via http://www.surveyfeedback.ca/surveys/wsb.dll/s/1g2add no later than Midnight Thursday Sept 5 (tomorrow).  Once you have submitted your nominations, we will contact the nominees and confirm their acceptance of the nomination. We hope to set up an on line election of your Ombuds by the end of this week.  Any nominations submitted after the deadline will not be accepted.

To ensure a high level of accuracy, please be sure to copy and paste the correct name (“First Name, Last Name”) from the Class Roster into the appropriate field in the survey.

Best wishes,

MBA & MM Programs office
