Notice: BA 504 Course Fee and Rankings
There are about 15 students who have not yet paid their BA 504 course fee.
This is in fact hindering your classmates from receiving their rankings because P2 rankings cannot be calculated until all the grades are into the SSC. In turn this is preventing your classmates of having the opportunity to obtain a better internship.
Please pay your BA 504 Course fee by the end Tuesday, January 14th. To pay your BA 504 course fee, please visit the following link: http://www.sauder.ubc.ca/Resources/The_Store/Class_and_Lab_Fees

FT MBA Program First Week Back
Welcome back everyone!
Period 3 starts today, Monday, Jan 6th! Please double check your schedules and make sure that you are registered in the right modules for your selected Track. Track requirements are on the website: http://www.sauder.ubc.ca/Programs/MBA/MBA_Full_Time/Current_Students
If you are still undecided between two tracks, you should be attending the classes for both tracks over the next few days until your final decision. Please note, you will need to make your decision this week.
If you are still unsure about which track you will be taking, please make an advising appointment with me (email charles.lee@sauder.ubc.ca). As this will be my second week on the job, Teresa Pan will be advising with me.
One more important reminder, all FT MBA students must take Global Issues & Macroeconomics BA 561 in Period 3. If you are not yet registered in this module, please do so asap. The 8:00am section still has seats available.
Period 3 and Career Track Declarations
Just a friendly reminder about the upcoming new year!

All students are expected to declare their track by Monday, January 20th, 2014. Please enter your details by Monday, January 20th, 2014 on this survey form so that we can update your choice officially on the SSC: https://www.surveyfeedback.ca/surveys/wsb.dll/s/1g2f3f
If you need academic advising to help you select your track, please speak with the following people during the first week of classes:
– Your Career Coach
– Track Champion
– FT MBA Program Manager / Advisor*
*Charles Lee will be the new FT MBA Manager. He will be available for advising appointments from January 6th, 2013. If you wish to book an advising appointment with Charles, please email askmba@sauder.ubc.ca.
Just a reminder that your career track designation will show on your Official Transcript, but not on your Degree Certificate.
Add/Drop Deadline
Please be advised that you will have until Monday, January 13th, 2013 to drop a class without a “W” on your academic history. In situations where the first week’s classes are postponed (ie. a make-up class has been scheduled), the withdrawal date will be revised to allow students to attend the first 20% of class hours (4 hours) and make the decision to drop the module without penalty. Students in this situation should contact the Graduate Programs Office at askmba@sauder.ubc.ca for assistance and advice.
Students may withdraw from any modules in the FT MBA Program in which they are registered at any time during the first week (i.e. within 4 hours of teaching for a 1.5 credit module. It is recommended that you attend all the classes you are interested in, regardless if you are registered, to ensure you do not miss out on any course content if you were to register later on.
Please review the Add/Drop Policy on Connect.

Track Declaration & Module Registration
As you are part of the Part-time MBA Program, you will be automatically registered by the Graduate Programs Office into modules which take place from now until March 2014.
You will receive a message from the Graduate Programs Office in February 2014 which will ask you to declare your track selection and will be granted permission to self-register into modules that pertain to your track which will take place between April – July 2014. You need not worry about seat availability for any Cohort 11 – Part time MBA track modules as you and your classmates will have the highest priority when registering to these courses.
Note that you are not required to take any Full-time MBA modules as your program will offer a sufficient amount of weekend modules in order for you to fulfill your Track requirements and graduate.
If you do decide to take Full-time MBA courses, you would have second priority to register for these modules.
