Task Description<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
1. Get Up to Speed: <\/strong><\/span>Read through all sections of this program site - knowledge is power!<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
2.\u00a0 Pre-MM Academic Prep<\/a><\/strong>: Read and review the all the material in this section<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
3. Housing<\/span>:<\/strong> Check to make sure you have accommodation secured until the end of your MM program (end of December 2020)<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
4. Study Permit:<\/strong><\/span> Extend your permit (if needed) to last the duration of the MM program (see accordion section below)<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
5. Medical Coverage:<\/strong><\/span> Review your BC Medical Services Plan<\/a> to make sure you have coverage for the duration of the MM program.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
6.\u00a0Contact Information: <\/strong><\/span>Moved?\u00a0 Changed your email address or phone number? Update contact information on the Student Service Centre<\/a> and let us know<\/a> about any email address change.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
7. MM Entry Form: <\/strong><\/span>Complete and submit on-line Personal Information Release form<\/a>.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
8. Introduce Yourself: <\/span><\/strong>Help build community! Go to the Discussions section of Canvas<\/a> and submit some information about yourself. Visit the discussion board often, read up on your classmates and interact with them.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
9. Save the Dates: <\/strong><\/span>Review and make note of Program Opening dates\/times<\/a> - attendance is mandatory so mark these days in your calendar and don't book any work or travel!<\/em><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

10. Research Ethics Certificate:<\/span> <\/strong>It is mandatory for all students to complete the TCPS 2: Course on Research Ethics <\/a>and send a copy of the completion certification to askmm@sauder.ubc.ca<\/a>\u00a0 prior to the start of the program on Thursday, June 4, 2020<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n

Already completed the course? Great!\u00a0 You don't have to re-take it but do need to submit a copy of the certificate to askmm@sauder.ubc.ca<\/a><\/p>\n

Extension of Study Permit<\/a><\/h3>
<\/p>\n

STUDY PERMITS<\/h4>\n

You must have a valid study permit in order to attend classes at UBC, therefore, all international students need to make sure that their study permit encompasses the entire length of the MM program (until the end of December 2020).<\/p>\n

Check the end date of your existing study permit and begin the process of extending it as soon as possible<\/strong> in order to ensure you are able to continue your studies.<\/p>\n
