Breach of these expectations or failure to follow the appropriate regulations, principles, rules and guidelines of the University may result in disciplinary action.<\/p>\n<div id=\"random-accordion-id-747\" class=\"accordion-shortcode  \">\n<h3 ><a href=\"#academic-regulations-0\" >Academic Regulations<\/a><\/h3><div id=\"academic-regulations-0\" class=\"accordian-shortcode-content \" ><\/p>\n<p>Students must familiarize themselves with the academic regulations listed below.<\/p>\n<p>In particular students are obligated to fully understand what constitutes <span style=\"color: #319b42;\"><strong>academic misconduct<\/strong><\/span>, as defined by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.calendar.ubc.ca\/vancouver\/index.cfm?tree=3,54,111,959\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">UBC Calendar<\/a>. Students involved in academic misconduct will face <a href=\"http:\/\/www.calendar.ubc.ca\/vancouver\/index.cfm?tree=3,54,111,960\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">disciplinary measures<\/a> and may\u00a0have all Business Career Services withdrawn for the remainder of their program.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.calendar.ubc.ca\/vancouver\/index.cfm?tree=3,329,0,0#26562\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Academic Concession<\/a>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/webforms.sauder.ubc.ca\/academic-concession-rhlee\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Academic Concession Request &amp; Declaration Form<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.calendar.ubc.ca\/vancouver\/index.cfm?tree=3,54,111,959\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Academic Misconduct<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.calendar.ubc.ca\/vancouver\/index.cfm?tree=12,199,506,1625#24676\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5845 noopener noreferrer\">Academic Standing &amp; Grading Practices<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.calendar.ubc.ca\/Vancouver\/index.cfm?tree=3,34,0,0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Accommodation for Students with Disabilities<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.calendar.ubc.ca\/vancouver\/index.cfm?tree=12,199,506,1625#24710\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5855 noopener noreferrer\">Examinations<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.calendar.ubc.ca\/vancouver\/index.cfm?tree=14,266,773,1450\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Extending Program Length (Continuing Fee)<\/a>\u00a0<span style=\"color: #808080;\"><em>(under \"Specialized Masters' Degree Programs\")<\/em><\/span><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.calendar.ubc.ca\/vancouver\/index.cfm?tree=12,204,341,191\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Leave of Absence (On Leave)<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.calendar.ubc.ca\/vancouver\/index.cfm?tree=12,199,506,1625#24749\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5849 noopener noreferrer\">Professionalism, Attendance &amp; Behaviour<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.calendar.ubc.ca\/vancouver\/index.cfm?tree=3,329,0,0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5851 noopener noreferrer\">Religious Holidays<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.calendar.ubc.ca\/vancouver\/?tree=3,49,0,0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Review of Assigned Standing (Appealing a Grade)<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.calendar.ubc.ca\/vancouver\/index.cfm?tree=12,199,506,1625#24783\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5858 noopener noreferrer\">Withdrawal, Reinstatement &amp; Readmission<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #888888;\"><em>NOTE: These regulations are subject to change.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p>\n<\/div>\n<h3 ><a href=\"#grade-requirements-1\" >Grade Requirements<\/a><\/h3><div id=\"grade-requirements-1\" class=\"accordian-shortcode-content \" ><\/p>\n<p>As a graduate student, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.calendar.ubc.ca\/vancouver\/index.cfm?tree=12,199,506,1625#24676\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"attachment noopener wp-att-5845 noreferrer\">grade requirements<\/a> are different than in your undergraduate degree. <span style=\"color: #319b42;\"><strong>You must familiarize yourself with these new grading requirements and understand these differences as it may affect your standing in the program<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4>Examples<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>A \"fail grade\" for a graduate student is 59% and below.<\/li>\n<li>\"Minimal Pass\" grades are between 60-67%<\/li>\n<li>Students are only permitted a limited number of\u00a0\"failed\" (59% and below) and\/or \"minimal pass\" (60-67%) grades in the MM degree.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If a student receives one or more final grades below 68% at the end of a Period, they will receive a letter from the RHL Graduate School outlining continuation requirements.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><em>Exceeding the maximum number of credits in either or both of these categories may result in withdrawal from the program.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><!-- #random-accordion-id-747end of accordion shortcode -->\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; The three core values of UBC Sauder are Rigour, Respect and Responsibility.
