Students involved in academic misconduct will face\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.calendar.ubc.ca\/vancouver\/index.cfm?tree=3,54,111,960\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">disciplinary measures<\/a>\u00a0and may\u00a0have all Business Career Services withdrawn for the remainder of their program.<\/p>\n<div id=\"random-accordion-id-523\" class=\"accordion-shortcode  accordion-container\">\n<h3 ><a href=\"#grade-requirements-0\" >Grade requirements<\/a><\/h3><div id=\"grade-requirements-0\" class=\"accordian-shortcode-content \" ><\/p>\n<p>As a graduate student, grade requirements may be different than in your undergraduate degree.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><em>You must familiarize yourself with the grading requirements for graduate programs and understand these differences as it may affect your standing in the program.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.calendar.ubc.ca\/vancouver\/index.cfm?tree=12,199,506,1625#24676\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5845 noopener noreferrer\">Academic Standing &amp; Grading Practices<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong>EXAMPLES<\/strong><\/span><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>A \"fail grade\" for a graduate course is 59% or lower.<\/li>\n<li>Students are only permitted a limited number of \"failed\" (59% or lower) and\/or \"minimal pass\" (60-67%) credits during the MM program.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Exceeding the maximum number of credits in either or both of these categories will result in withdrawal from the program.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p>\n<\/div>\n<h3 ><a href=\"#rules-on-the-use-and-distribut-1\" >Rules on the Use and Distribution of Course Materials<\/a><\/h3><div id=\"rules-on-the-use-and-distribut-1\" class=\"accordian-shortcode-content \" ><\/p>\n<p>Any materials posted on Canvas course sites will be available for you to access and download for <strong>four weeks after the final exam<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>As you will be using the intellectual property of external authors and\/or UBC professors in your own studies, please be aware of the following rules around the handling and distribution of those materials:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Cases and readings are protected under copyright law and therefore you must not share these documents with anyone. Any official publications that are posted on a Canvas course site have copyright clearance for students enrolled this specific course only.<\/li>\n<li>Class slides are the instructor\u2019s property and most instructors do not want their slides to be distributed. If you have questions about this, please approach your instructor directly.<\/li>\n<li>Exams\/assignments\/feedback must not be shared with students who may subsequently take the same course.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It is <strong>your responsibility to avoid <a href=\"https:\/\/copyright.ubc.ca\/copyright-guidelines\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">copyright infringements<\/a><\/strong> and the distribution of materials that are intended for your use only.<\/p>\n<p>\n<\/div>\n<h3 ><a href=\"#rules-with-degree-progress-2\" >Rules with Degree Progress<\/a><\/h3><div id=\"rules-with-degree-progress-2\" class=\"accordian-shortcode-content \" ><\/p>\n<p>RHL students should use the designation \u201c<strong>MM in progress<\/strong>\u201d on <em>resume, LinkedIn, email signature, business signature<\/em>, etc. As a student in a Professional Master program, the term \u201ccandidate\u201d should not be used because candidacy is not an officially recognized degree program status at the Master\u2019s level (it is intended for the doctoral level), based on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grad.ubc.ca\/current-students\/student-responsibilities\/use-degree-status-designations\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">UBC policy<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><!-- #random-accordion-id-523end of accordion shortcode -->\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The three core values of UBC Sauder are Rigour, Respect and Responsibility.
