Hi,

I’m James Watson and I’m a 4th year History major with a minor in International Relations at the University of British Columbia, Canada. My general focus is upon modern Iranian, Gulf, and South Asian politics and political history. My other areas of interest are Praetorian states, such as Pakistan, and the employment of meta-narratives by states, groups, or individuals to legitimize their actions within the international system.

This blog originated as a class project but I have decided to continue my little foray into the digital world. You will quickly notice that my posts are referenced but that I use a more informal of language at times. I encourage you the reader to join in the discussion, analyse my deliberations; please do challenge me and my opinions!
