Introduction

With a culture and transportation system that leads people to rely on private transportation, car ownership high. Due to this renewable powered transportation such as electric vehicles is an important alternative choice to gas powered vehicles. Electric vehicles is a form of clean transportation that has zero emissions, supported by fast charging with many locations, and is efficient, quiet, and low-stress.

This project aims to analyze where new electric vehicle charging stations could be located in Metro Vancouver as the largest concern people have with electric vehicles is running out out of power. By using service area analyse, the existing reach of charging stations and gaps in service can be found. Multi-criteria analyses were used to identify potential areas for new charging stations with respect to land use and population density.
