Resilience is not just a skill. It is a characteristic a person should obtain to live a successful life; especially at this day and age. We are at a time where digital technology is just starting taking off to a whole new level. Everything in technological development is moving rather quickly. With great change in society, comes great detachment amongst people. It is quit visible that many youth, even adults are very detached from their surroundings, to some extends, from reality. This often leads to or amplifies existing emotional issues. Which would trigger a series of downward spiral in emotional/ or mental disorders. Nothing could devastate someone’s resiliency for keep moving forward in life like mental and/or emotional disorders. So, it is very important for educators to help students by creating a safe environment to foster healthy growth of mental and emotional learning to build and equip students with tools for developing their resilient characteristics.
