I am a Christian. And I have gone through some torturous education when I was young, and the teachers I had in China up to grade 8, out-right attacked me and many other students personally. I wished that will not happen to anyone. But I didn\u2019t know how. Before I registered in the B-Ed program, I had a serious struggle about what I wanted to do with my life. One day, I had a revelation from 1 Corinthians 4:15 For if you were to have countless tutors in Christ, yet you would not have many fathers, for in Christ Jesus I became your father through the gospel. I remembered watching many of my high school friends struggled because they have no one to relate to in school; many ended up dropping out of school. I remembered seeing students who tumble through their teenage years with emotional struggles and later on become depressed. As I know Christ gave His life for me, I realized I want to be a teacher that carries a heart of a father to my students as well as a heart of a tutor. I will teach them the skills and knowledge necessary, but I want them all to feel loved and welcomed in my class, safe and sound. To have a joyful future to look forward to with hopes and dreams instead of trapped in their past and sorrow.
