I have never used Twine before, so the task was a challenging one. I started off by downloading the program to my computer, it was not clear how to use the program until I attempted to try the online version. While using the online version I could easily see my passages and how I made different links to make my story flowed. I wanted my game to be appealing so I added elements to make the story attractive, this included the use of pictures, a colorful background, colors of the highlighted words and text effects.<\/p><br \/>\n<p>This task was very daunting because I had to use HTML codes to get the different effects of the game I was creating. When I compare what I did, to some of the course readings, there were similarities with how some western countries in the past has chosen to create their writings in volumes. When I look at the codes to create my gamified story, I got over 124 pages when I copied and pasted the HTML code in Microsoft Word. Technology has evolved the way codex corresponded to creating new possibilities for writers and readers, it provided a space that was visually more sophisticated and finished. A codex could hold several times as much text as a roll (Bolter, 2001, p.78). Comparatively it is the same way HTML codes creates interactive elements with a modern feel to make reading more enjoyable.
