Well here\u2019s something to get excited about in March!<\/p>\n<p>The UBC\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/students.ubc.ca\/fun\/give-back\/peer-programs\/equity-ambassadors\">Equity Ambassadors<\/a>\u00a0are planning InterculturalU in celebration of the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.un.org\/en\/events\/racialdiscriminationday\/\">International Day to End Racial Discrimination<\/a>, an event promoting intercultural understanding through <em>your<\/em> artwork!<\/p>\n<p>Going beyond <em>multiculturalism<\/em> (i.e. co-existing different cultures), <em>intercultural<\/em> understanding focuses on making connections with, and increasing our knowledge of, each other\u2019s cultures. In the past, InterculturalU included pecha kucha, roundtables, or panel discussions. This year, we hope to present\u00a0an evening of art and awareness promoting understanding between the rich variety of cultures that every student brings to our campus. And we need your art to help make this possible!<\/p>\n<p>Are you an artist in the broadest, most imaginative sense?<br \/>\nAre you passionate about ending discrimination and celebrating diversity using your art?<\/p>\n<p>Complete an <a href=\"https:\/\/forms.students.ubc.ca\/access\/icu-artist-submissions\">online submission form<\/a> to showcase your artwork. The online submission process will close on <strong>January 19<sup>th<\/sup>, 2015.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Here are just few of the possible mediums that your art could be: song, dance, drumming, photography, painting, sculpture, slam poetry, improv, stand-up comedy.<\/p>\n<p>We look forward to all your submissions!
